The Beardie is one of the oldest Scottish breeds, their ancestors have been traced to breeds living in Northwestern Europe back about 4000BC. The Bearded Collie has become a great friend to families, helping to raise children, and other animals in their household. The Beardie is a hardy medium sized dog With good grooming once a week, you can keep him in excellent shape. A Beardie has no doggy odor and very little shedding.
Males stand 21" to 22" at the shoulder, weight between 45 to 55 Lbs.
Females stand 20" to 21" at the shoulder, weight between 38 to 48 Lbs.
